Three Accused Of Driving With Suspended Licenses In Harrison

HARRISON, N.Y. – A Harrison officer stopped a driver July 24 who did not yield while traveling westbound on Halstead Avenue, police said. The officer found that the man's driver's license had been suspended.

He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, and the car was impounded. The man also had a warrant for an unpaid a parking ticket in the Bronx, police said. He was released and is due Aug. 8 in Harrison Town Court.

The following items also were reported by Harrison police:

Suspended License: A Peekskill woman was pulled over July 24 for speeding westbound on Park Lane in the area of Burns Road, police said. Her license had been suspended since April 15 for failing to answer a summons in Yorktown. The woman was issued a summons and was taken home by the Harrison police officer. Her car was impounded.

Suspended License: While on patrol at 3:18 p.m. Thursday, July 26, an officer noticed a car enter Westchester Avenue eastbound from the Hutchinson River Parkway. The vehicle had a roof rack with construction equipment attached to it in addition to a metal divider between the front and rear compartments. After pulling over the car, the officer asked the driver for his license and registration. The driver was unable to produce his license and said he was “gonna be in trouble,” according to the police report. The man’s driving privileges had been suspended seven times. He was arrested and was taken to the Harrison Police Department headquarters for processing.
