Officers from the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to Panera Bread at the Triangle Shopping Center shortly before 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 11, where there were reports of a person playing with a knife.

Upon arrival at Panera Bread, officers found 23-year-old Ryan McCullough of White Plains in possession of a gravity knife that was in plain view to the customers at the restaurant. Further investigation found that McCullough had a previous conviction that elevated the crime to a felony.

McCullough was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony. Following arraignment, he was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or bond. McCullough is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on Feb. 15 to answer the charge.
