Yonkers Toddler In Critical Condition After Falling From Window

YONKERS, N.Y. – A young child is in critical condition after apparently falling out of a third floor window Wednesday in southwest Yonkers.

Police said the two-year-old girl tumbled from an apartment building at 25 Van Cortlandt Park Ave., around 11:45 a.m. Neighbors reported the child fell from a side window and into a concrete alley.

The child, who was not immediately identified, was given first aid at the scene before she was taken to an area hospital, police said. She is listed in critical condition.

The investigation into the incident remains active and police declined to release any additional information.
