The Town Board statement follows last month's claim by Chris Rodier, running Tuesday in a special election, that town police harassed him after he filed a request through the Freedom of Information Law seeking information on the town's budget and finances, said lohud.com.

The board told lohud.com police made a request to talk to Rodier following his alleged call to a software vendor in Harrison saying he was a "town employee getting the information for the comptroller’s office," the report said.

Rodier, who is a software engineer is reportedly stunned and disappointed" in face of the accusations, lohud.com said, citing the statement.
