HARRISON, N.Y. – Chief Steven Mancini of the West Harrison Fire Department will be seeking approval from the Harrison Town Board on Thursday night for certification of several people to serve as officers.

He is seeking certification for Michael Pellegrino for assistant chief, Frank Forgione as captain, Vito Cirioni as first lieutenant and Matthew Fitzgerald as second lieutenant.

On the administrative side, he will request the certification of Pat Galluzzo as president, Carlo Riccobono as secretary, Joseph Salerno as treasurer and Joseph Barbagallo as the director of the board.

The Town Board will also hear other requests, such as the one from Stu Rudnick, who is a board member of the Westchester National Alliance on Mental Illness. He is seeking "approval to install white ribbons on town trees and light posts during the month of May 2013 in an effort to bring attention to mental health awareness," the agenda said.

It is also to raise awareness for the 5K mental health walk being held May 18 in Rye.

The meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Municipal Building, 1 Heineman Place.
