Harrison Town/Village Board Member Runs In Conservative Primary

HARRISON, N.Y. – Harrison residents voting in Tuesday’s Conservative primary election will see one race for two available seats on the Harrison Town/Village Board.

Polls in Harrison for the Conservative Primary Election open at 6 a.m. and close at 9 p.m.

Town/village board member Joseph Cannella will appear on the Conservative primary ballot. There is also an opportunity for voters to write in a candidate’s name.

Additionally, White Plains resident Benjamin Boykin II is running on the Independence ticket for the District 5 seat on the Westchester Board of Legislators.  West Harrison resident Mark Jaffe is running on the Independence ticket for the District 6 seat.  Voters, depending on their district in Harrison, have the option of writing in a candidate for the respective District 5 or 6 seat.

Thomas Murphy of Mamaroneck and Catherine Parker of Rye are running on the Democratic ticket for the county legislature's District 7 seat, which also represents parts of Harrison.  Parker is also running on the Independence ballot, with the option to write-in a candidate.

For registered voters of the Green Party, there is also a write-in ballot available to vote for a District 7 candidate.

The primary election will be held Sept. 10.

Polls for the primary election open at 6 a.m. and close at 9 p.m.  Check the Westchester Board of Elections website for information about polling locations.

This year’s general election will be held Nov. 5.
