Chappaqua Moves Halloween To Nov. 7

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. — Halloween is being put on hold for a week in New Castle.

Town officials are asking that parents and kids wait until Nov. 7 before going door-to-door for trick-or-treating due to the dangerous conditions on the roads from Hurricane Sandy.

In the mean time, WeeZee... World of "Yes, I Can!" at Chappaqua Crossing has power and is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The playspace is holding a Halloween party for the rest of the week.

Children are invited to come in costume Wednesday through Friday for candy, trick or treating, Halloween activities and crafts, games, rides and more.

Parents can drop kids off and there will be staff to watch them. Parents can also hang out in the adults-only Zen Den with iPads and massage chairs.

A day pass is $30 for up to three hours and no reservations are necessary.
