Disability Integration Specialist Will Be Featured At FEMA Pomona Briefing

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- The FEMA Region II core advisory group briefing will be held on Monday, Dec. 7.

Rockland Independent Living Center and Rockland County Fire & Emergency Services invite you to attend the FEMA Region II core advisory group briefing on Dec. 7.

The briefing takes place from 11 a.m, to 1 p.m. at Rockland County Fire & Emergency Services Station at 35 Firemen's Memorial Dr. in Pomona.

FEMA Region II Disability Integration Specialist Jim Flemming will give a presentation on the Core Advisory Group. He will also discuss the Access and Functional Needs Concept for expanding the participation of persons with disabilities within county emergency management planning.

Flemming has worked on issues pertaining to disability access for more than 20 years and published more than 100 articles on ADA issues.

Light refreshments will be served.
