The seven-bedroom, 3-bath Arts & Crafts home at 25 Park Avenue is listed for $950,000 by Nancy Strong and Stacey Oestreich, who are top producing agents for Elliman. It includes 3,200 square feet of living space, .34 acres and convenience to downtown White Plains.

“There’s an amazing cross between a city and country feel to the house,’’ Strong said. “The coffered cherry ceilings and mahogany doorway casements are stunning. You feel like you’re at home the second you walk into the house.”

A location scout selected the home for a scene in Parker’s new show, Divorce, which will be televised on HBO. The show is expected to make its debut this summer. Strong said the show uses the dining room and kitchen as a scene for a part of the show.

Aside from the Parker angle, the home has many other unique features. It was built in 1885, as best as residents and real estate agents can determine. Land records were not kept at that point, but Parker said the home’s current owner indicated the type of architecture used in constructing the house -- called “Balloon framing” -- was used in 1885-86. The style uses long 2x4 construction for the exterior walls, according to OldHouseWeb.com.

The house has been well-maintained by the current owner, Beth Nolasco da Silva, the widow of noted architect Peter Nolasco da Silva. The family has owned it for nearly 40 years.

“They were living elsewhere in Westchester and had no intention of moving,’’ Strong said. “Their daughter was friends with a child who lived there. She came home one day and said the family was moving. They went to see the house and said, ‘Boy, this house needs a lot of work.’ They ended up buying it. They updated it, renovated it and made it a beautiful house.”

The home is move-in ready. It includes a formal dining room, master suite, pantry, outbuilding, 2-car garage and gorgeous front porch and deck in the back. The third floor includes a living space with its own kitchenette, living room and two bedrooms, but does not have a separate entrance.

“The house basks in this warm hue of an orange wood color,’’ Oestreich said. “The ceiling has with detailed millwork. The fireplaces and tiles surrounds give it a warm feeling, and a lot of the furniture is custom made. The decor of the house is amazing.”

“Everybody who has come through has been in awe of the quality and craftsmanship,’’ Strong said. “You come in and feel like ‘Wow! I love this.’ It’s in great condition and very usable.”

Potential buyers are those who like in-town living with a manageable property, convenience to the train (about a half-mile walk) and a home with old-time charm.
