Former Student Files Lawsuit Alleging Bullying At Westchester School

ARMONK, N. Y. -- A lawsuit filed earlier this month claims that staff at H. C. Crittenden Middle School in Armonk failed to protect a 13-year-old girl, who survived a suicide attempt in May 2015, from constant harassment and bullying at school.

The lawsuit was filed Feb. 4 in White Plains. You can read it here.

Lauren Milton, mother of the girl, said in the lawsuit that both she and her daughter, who was in seventh-grade last year, made reports to the school. The girl, who slashed her wrists last May, now attends a private school in northern Westchester, lohud.com reported.

Byram Hills school district officials said they hadn't seen the lawsuit as of Tuesday, but planned to defend school staff "vigorously," according to lohud.com.
