Members of the school’s Green Key Service Club, supervised by Marissa Coulehan and Susan Spieholtz, narrated the event, according to a press release.

"Dressed in the patriotic colors of red, white and blue, students and faculty from kindergarten through fifth grade serenaded the veterans, as well as recently re-elected Mayor Ron Belmont and other community members with renditions of classics such as 'You’re A Grand Ole Flag,' 'Anchors Away,' 'Over There' and closed with 'God Bless America,' " according to the release.

Students also read the classic poem, "Got Your Back” by Autumn Parker.

The Harrison Veterans Day Parade begins at 10 a.m. Monday in West Harrison along Underhill Avenue, according to the release. Residents are asked to "please support our troops in remembrance of those men and women who are and have served in this nation’s armed forces," according to the release.
