Harrison High School Senior Named National Merit Finalist

HARRISON, N.Y. – A Harrison High School senior recently was named a finalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program.

Catherine Rocchi, a three-sport athlete and International Baccalaureate diploma candidate at Harrison High School, will find out by June whether she receives a National Merit Scholarship.

Catherine Rocchi, a three-sport athlete and International Baccalaureate diploma candidate, will find out by June whether she receives a National Merit Scholarship.

Rocchi is a member of the National Honor Society and the National Foreign Language Honor Society at Harrison High.

She also has earned numerous awards for her dedication to studying the Italian language.

Rocchi is a drum major for Harrison High’s award-winning band, has performed as an orchestra member in several high school musical productions, and also volunteers for a number of local charities.

She is captain of the girls’ cross country and the winter/spring track and field teams.

Rocchi plans to attend Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H. in the fall.
