Harrison High School's Imagine Magazine Wins Superior Distinction Award

HARRISON, N.Y. -- Harrison High School's Imagine magazine has won a Superior Distinction Award from the National Council of Teachers of English for its 2014-15 edition, according to a statement from the school district.

The magazine consists of 70 pages filled with poems, essays, drawings and photographs from students in the ninth, 10th, 11th and 12th grades.

Amr El-Azizi, a senior and returning editor-in-chief, also was recognized along with Sydney Mueller and Alexandra Franco, who both graduated in 2015 and are pursuing writing in college.

Jacob Brill and Kimberly Grogan serve as advisors to the students and help oversee the process of selecting the works from more than 100 student submissions.
