The Rookie of the Year award goes to the most successful new Relay for Life event in the division. The event was a carnival theme that included games, booths and other ways to raise money. Other events included a dinner with cancer survivors, a walk around the high school track and a luminaria candlelight ceremony.

The second annual Harrison Relay for Life is tentatively scheduled for May or June. Harrison’s original Relay for Life goal was $50,000, but the 39 teams collected over $84,000.
