Harrison HS Senior Rose Stokoe Wins Columbia Scholastic Press Award

HARRISON, N.Y. -- Harrison High School senior Rose Stokoe was awarded a prestigious certificate of merit by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association in its 31st Annual Gold Circle Awards.

She was cited in the category of General or Humor Commentary for news publication for her article "#No One Cares" in this past year’s Husky Herald.

Stokoe, under the guidance of adviser Gary Glauber, has been writing for the Husky Herald for the past three years.

While she has written many articles on a wide-range of topics, she is enjoying the commentary style of writing and hopes to continue contributing to a college newspaper wherever she chooses to attend next fall.
