HARRISON, N.Y. – The Harrison Board of Education will meet Wednesday night for the first time since receiving approval of its Annual Professional Performance Review system for teachers and principals.

The Harrison Central School District submitted its teacher evaluation plan. But because it was completed 19 minutes after the deadline, the district is not expected to receive an increase in state aid, published reports said. The state’s opposition to part of the principal evaluation and a missing signature from board President Dennis DiLorenzo caused the delay, which carried over past the deadline into Friday, Jan. 18.

The amount forfeited aid is not known but will equal the amount of the aid increase from the 2011-12 school year to the 2012-13 year.

The meeting will start at 8:15 p.m. in the Louis M. Klein Middle School Library.

We still can not believe Harrison residents are believing this Mr Wool...HE JUST COST HARRISON TAXPAYERS , AN EXTRA 100,000 THOUSAND DOLLARS AND NO ONE CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The most egregious story above is mind boggling to all of us....Mr Wool should give the money out of his own salary; just like a professional sports figure would have too do when a blatant disregard of some rule or finding is his fault. The superintendent is very very comfortable here , and who would not be making 300 thousand dollar package per year, mocking the state's recent decision disqualifying 100,000 thousand dollars for the children of Harrison.
We see many residents complaining to the town boards at meetings over less dollar amounts.... Why is it that this Mr Wool has some magic over many people who are simply dont challenge this person while dollars are thrown out of the window. In summary we feel , Harrison residents will only react and be proactive when its a direct hit on each one. Well if this isnt a direct hit we do not comprehend what it could be. Think..... 100,000 dollars can pay a salary, books, computers, health benefits etc...........Mr Wool must be held accountable and give pay a penalty for his tardiness and stubborn ego.......
