HARRISON, N.Y. - Harrison schools will be in session on Wednesday, March 27 to make up for a snow day in February.
The day falls in the middle of the scheduled spring break. School officials decided back in November that March 27 would be the first vacation day to be eliminated in the event of weather cancellations. Superintendent Lou Wool said at the time that, because the preceding weekend is Passover and the following weekend is Easter, Wednesday would be the best day to have school while being respectful to everybody.
In the event of more school cancellations, the second make-up day would be scheduled for Thursday, March 28 and the third would be Tuesday, March 26.
March 27 will be a "C" day for the elementary schools and a "3" day for Louis M. Klein Middle School and Harrison High School.
