Harrison Voters Easily Approve $110M School Budget, Elect Two Trustees

HARRISON, N.Y. -- Voters in the Harrison Central School District easily passed a $110 million school budget for 2016-17 on Tuesday, according to unofficial returns.

Next year's budget proposal, which calls for a 0.69 percent spending increase over this year, passed by 1,264 to 372 votes, school officials said. The property tax levy also will increase slightly.

Rachel Estroff was re-elected to the Harrison Board of Education with 1,035 votes.  

Placido Dino Puccio was elected to the Board with 983 votes, filling the position vacated by trustee Abby Mendelsohn.
