In addition to her classroom teaching experience, Fusco has served as a mentor teacher to new faculty, a facilitator of professional development, and a member of the music steering committee.

Under Fusco’s leadership, the Harrison High School musical theater program has grown in scope and quality over the past eight years, increasing student participation in challenging musical productions including "Miss Saigon," "Beauty and the Beast," "Footloose," "Thoroughly Modern Millie," "42nd Street," "Crazy for You" and "A Chorus Line."

In 2013, the production of "Crazy For You" received the Metropolitan High School Theater Award for Outstanding Musical Direction and Outstanding Overall Production.

In addition to her contributions to the Harrison learning community, Fusco is a member of several national music education associations and serves on the executive board of the Westchester County School Music Association.

Fusco earned a bachelor’s degree in music education from the Steinhardt School of New York University, and she holds a master’s degree in music education from the College of Fine Arts at Boston University.

Fusco was selected by the superintendent of schools to enter the Future School Leaders Academy through Bank Street College, a prestigious and competitive program that cultivates teachers with promising leadership potential, where she is completing a second master’s degree in educational administration.
