Manhattanville, Purchase Make Prestigious Lists

HARRISON, N.Y. – Manhattanville College and Purchase College, SUNY  were both named to Princeton Review's list of the 377 Best Colleges.

“Purchase College, SUNY is very proud to be included in the Princeton Review's list of best colleges and in the company of such prestigious private liberal arts colleges as Amherst and Williams,” said Dennis Craig, associate provost for enrollment.

Its Performing Arts Center, which hosts several events every year, was rated the best college theater in the northeast.

In addition to the Princeton Review, Mahattanville also is listed in the Fiske Guide to Colleges.

“Manhattanville College joins the ranks of outstanding universities and colleges nationwide with our inclusion in the Fiske Guide to Colleges and Princeton Review,” said Kevin O’Sullivan, director of undergraduate admissions. “It’s a great point of pride for us to be included among the best Colleges by Princeton Review and Fiske Guide to Colleges.  This is a ringing affirmation of the work of the college's strong commitment to academic excellence and we continue to look for new ways in which we can offer the highest quality educational experience.”

O’Sullivan said that Manhattanville “continues to advance academically” and that he is “proud that students and others also recognize the high quality of life” that is available there.

He mentioned “opportunities for athletic and club involvement, a strong commitment to community service, and numerous internship opportunities.”

With students having returned to school, O’Sullivan believes the rankings on both lists “will create an exciting energy amongst the campus community.”
