Lauren Roxbury will serve as a long?term substitute mathematics teacher for Harrison High School.
She graduated on the Dean’s List with a bachelor’s degree in economics from SUNY Albany and a master’s degree in mathematics education from SUNY New Paltz.
Roxbury is also completing a second master’s degree in Instructional Technology from the New York Institute of Technology. She has experience teaching mathematics at Dobbs Ferry Middle School and Suffern Middle School. Amanda Stevens will serve as a leave replacement school counselor for Harrison High School during the 2014?15 school year.
She also holds a master’s degree in science education from Lehman College and a master’s degree in psychological counseling from Teachers College at Columbia University.
Stevens completed her school counseling internship at Edgemont Junior/Senior High School. Amanda Urban served as a long?term substitute at Harrison High School during the 2013?14 school year, and she will continue in this capacity during the 2014?15 school year as an English language arts teacher.
Urban is pursuing a master’s degree in theater from the City College of New York.
Urban completed her student teaching at Lagrange Middle School and Marlboro High School, and she has served as an SAT tutor. Meghan Zwart will teach music at Harrison High School. For the past four years, Zwart has served as a vocal-music teacher in the Tuxedo Union Free School District in Orange County, where she conducted the high school choir and directed the fall drama and spring musical productions.
She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in music education at the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford.
