The entire school community was asked to donate gently used sneakers to the Max Foundation, whose mission is to ensure all people living with cancer have access to the best treatments and support services.
The donated sneakers are refurbished and made available as affordable footwear to developing nations in need of sneakers or tennis shoes.
The Max Foundation receives a donation, which is then used to help support families who are fighting pediatric cancers.
“We are proud to say that in one month we collected 126 pairs of sneakers,” said Parsons' teacher Christine Gallagher. “Thank you to all the students and parents who donated sneakers to this worthwhile cause.”
