The National Honor Society inductees are recognized for their excellence in four areas – scholarship, leadership, character, and service.

During a celebratory ceremony at the school's magnificent St. Walburga's Chapel, inductees reflected on the characteristics of an NHS Scholar, noting that they share similar traits typical of a Holy Child student. They are collaborative, caring, honest young women who value academic integrity and possess a desire to succeed and become her best self within the classroom and beyond.

NHS advisor Kathryn Langstine Gazso '94 thanked parents and faculty for the guidance and support of each of the inductees.

Alina Troya Aquilato '00, who chairs the private school's Religious Studies Department, spoke of the character traits instilled by parents, reinforced in their faith and in the mission of Holy Child.

"I pray that you will be generous in your life, that you will return to the world all that has been given to you, and that you will do this tirelessly in a way that suits your gifts and talents," Troya Aquilato said during a keynote speech.
