The Commercial Art program includes instruction in a variety of topics, including illustration, animation, advertising, marketing, figure drawing, art history and portfolio development.

Leo Lertora, a student at Greenwich High School, who won a second prize, was awarded $200 and will shortly see his artwork displayed on the eSchooldata website. The other finalists were Michael Renda and Anthony Duque, both from New Rochelle High School, who worked as a team and received the honorable mention, in addition to receiving a cash prize of $50.

“When you login to eSchool to take attendance, look for Leo’s artwork that will soon be showing up,” said Damian Powers, the program’s instructor.

Students who currently attend a school district utilizing the eSchoolData Student Management System are eligible to take part in the contest, which take place regionally across New York during the course of the school year to promote as much student participation as possible.

Students from high schools throughout the Hudson Valley, Long Island, Mid-Hudson and Western New York regions participated in the competition.
