HARRISON, N.Y. -- Family fun was prevalent at Samuel J. Preston Elementary School Friday night as the community gathered for a night of bingo.
People enjoy coming here and being out with their kids, said Lucy Puccio, president of the Preston PTA.
Children gathered with their families in the school cafeteria for a night of family fun as kids took turn picking the numbers and playing the game. A prize was given to the winner of each of the nine games. Along with bingo, a 50/50 raffle was held with half of the proceeds going to the Preston PTA.
Resident Scott Martin has two sons who are students at Preston. Martin, who has been going to the event for the past four years, said that bingo draws a big crowd every time they play it.
This is a family event that gives the kids a chance to hang out with their friends and the parents to see people they normally wouldnt see, Martin said. It gives a chance for people to get involved in the school.
