HAWTHORNE, N.Y. -- Sydney Braiotta struck out 16 batters in a six-inning game Thursday to lift Harrison's nine-ten-year-old softball team to a 5-1 victory over Ardsley at Volunteer Field.
Harrison, which has one loss in the double-elimination tournament, will meet Sherman Park Tuesday at Kensico Field in Valhalla.
"Sydney is just on fire, pitching so well," Harrison coach Kris Ciafone said. "The girls stuck in there and we'll play again. It was a great pitching performance."
Jamie Provino hit a double and triple and Avery LaBarbara added a triple for the winners.
