PURCHASE, N.Y. First-team selection Katie Pitcher led all-conference honors for the softball team at Manhattanville College, the regular-season champions in the Freedom Conference.
The second-team honorees are Fox Lane graduate Jessica Van Galen, Ashley Dell and Alyssa Taylor.
Pitcher is 6-2 on the mound and has a .372 batting average. She has nine doubles, four home runs and 19 RBIs.
Van Galen has a team-leading nine home runs and 15 extra-base hits. She has driven in 32 runs and is hitting .340.
Dell is hitting a torrid .424 with eight doubles, 20 runs scored and 21 RBIs. Taylor, who had an excellent ice hockey season, is 6-6 with a 2.69 earned run average. She is also batting .300 with three home runs.
