HARRISON, N.Y. -- The Harrison High School varsity football team is on a roll offensively, gathering momentum and force every week.
The undefeated Huskies (4-0) are averaging 38 points a game with a versatile offense featuring the triple option and passing of quarterback Vinnie Nicita. Pearl River High School faces the uneviable task of playing Harrison at 7 p.m., Friday, in a Section 1 Class A game.
Harrison registered a season-high 49 points in its win over Tappan Zee High School in week four while Pearl River dropped to 1-3 after a 21-14 loss to Beacon High School.
A Harrison victory would clinch a berth in the Section 1 Class A Football Championships with two regular-season games remaining. Harrison will play Horace Greeley High School in week six and close out the regular season with “The Game,” against archrival Rye High School.
