The home crowd was expecting their heroes to roll to an easier win, but Harrison (11-10) came in ready to play, and gave the top seed all it could handle, with Tappan Zee clawing its way to a 43-42 victory.

TZ junior Kevin Lynch hit one of two free throws with 30 seconds left to give his team the lead. The Huskies, who led for much of the second half, had two shots at a win before the buzzer, but couldn't get either to fall.

Victor Clervil led the Dutchmen with 16 points and nine rebounds.

TZ earned its sixth trip to the county center in the last seven years. The Dutchmen (20-2) will face No. 4 Nanuet in the semifinals Monday at 7:45 p.m.

Friday night's TZ crowd was also showing support for Athletic Director Liam Frawley and his family, with many wearing red t-shirts that read 'TZ is Frawley Strong.' Frawley is currently in the hospital in critical, but stable condition, after suffering a brain aneurysm a few weeks back.
