HARRISON, N.Y. -- Several of the Harrison High School winter sports teams have enjoyed successful starts to their seasons.

The boys varsity basketball team jumped out to a 6-1 start this year, including a win over Tuckahoe in the Harrison Tournament in December where senior Paige Brabant was named tournament MVP in December.

The Huskies also beat Horace Greeley, 66-58 on Friday, Jan. 10.

The girls varsity basketball team started the season 5-1, but is looking to bounce back from a recent three-game skid which included losses to Ossining, Ardsley and Horace Greeley high schools.

The lady Huskies will look to regain their footing against Rye and Blind Brook this week.

Harrison hockey players who compete on the Rye Neck/Blind Brook/Harrison are enjoying a three-game win streak against Peekskill, Ossining and Horace Greeley high schools.

The Varsity Wrestling team scored impressive wins at the Sectional Duals and the Carlucci Duals. Junior Frankie Barchella was named the Patriot Tournament Champion and notched a second place finish in the Shoreline Tournament in the 106 pound weight class.
