Harrison Hosts John Jay in Pivotal Football Game

HARRISON, N.Y. -- John Jay-Cross River travels to Harrison Saturday at 7 p.m. in a game that will have a huge impact on the Section 1 Class A playoffs. The teams enter the game with 2-1 records, but John Jay is on a two-game winning streak, following a 42-13 victory over Lakeland. Harrison lost at Poughkeepsie last week.John Jay quarterback Tyler Keech and Harrison signal-caller Vinnie Nicita will pose the same problem for the opposing defense. Both can run the ball and are accurate passers with strong arms. Keech will also split out as a wide receiver and is dangerous in the open field when Jack Lambert lines up at quarterback. This is the second of a difficult three-game stretch for the Huskies, who will play Ossining next week before hosting arch-rival Rye in ‘The Game.’
