Harrison Huskie Cheerleaders Compete For Section 1 Championship

HARRISON, N.Y. -- The Harrison High School Varsity Cheerleaders qualified and competed in the first ever Section 1 Championships held at White Plains High School on Feb. 27.

Competitive cheerleading was recognized in 2014 as an interscholastic sport by the New York State Board of Regents in an effort to improve safety and coaching standards. 

Even though the Huskies did not take home the Championship trophy this year, teammates Sophia Jacobi, Krystal Shaw, Sabrina Winoski and Gianna Menniti received Varsity All League honors at the event.
