HARRISON, N.Y. -- Nicole Nuvolino and Ally Huhne each had two hits and three RBI, leading Harrison to a 14-1 win over Hastings in a District 20 Little League Softball Majors’ first-round game at Brentwood Park Sunday.

Sidney Braiotta tossed a no-hitter and struck out eight as the game was called after four innings because of the mercy rule.

Harrison will play Sherman Park in a winner’s bracket semifinal Tuesday at 5:45 p.m. at McDowell Field in Ardsley. The winner advances to the final at 4 p.m. Saturday at Sherman Park. Hastings plays White Plains in a loser’s bracket game on Tuesday at 5:45 p.m. at Valhalla.

Harrison erupted for all of its runs in the first inning. Huhne and Nuvolino ripped consecutive run-scoring doubles. Later in the inning, Huhne’s infield single scored two runs and Nuvolino followed with a triple to the gap in left-center field, bringing in her sister, Gina Nuvolino, and Huhne.

Avery LaBarbera and Braiotta each delivered RBI singles.
