Harrison Plays Eastchester For Softball Title

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – Harrison and Eastchester will meet again in the District 20 Little League Softball Minors Championship – for the title.

The teams will play in the final at 7 p.m. Thursday at Volunteer Field in Thornwood. If Harrison wins, it will be the District 20 champion. Eastchester needs a win to force a decisive game on Friday in the double-elimination tournament. The teams met earlier in the tournament with Harrison prevailing, 4-3.

The Eastchester majors baseball team will also take the field Thursday, when it hosts Ardsley in the winners bracket final at 5:45 p.m. at O'Rourke Field. Both teams hit well in their respective semifinal wins, as Eastchester crushed two home runs in a 10-0 win over Harrison and Danny Kastin smacked a pair of homers in a 19-8 victory over Sherman Park.

Rye and Scarsdale will meet in a losers bracket semifinal at 5:45 p.m. at Brentwood Park in Harrison.

In minors baseball, Harrison and Ardsley play in the losers bracket final at 5:45 p.m. at Gedney Field in White Plains. The winner of this game moves into the final against Sherman Park at 11 a.m. Saturday at Disbrow Park in Rye.
