PINE BUSH, N.Y. -- Briarcliff (District 33) and Pelham (District 21) open play Wednesday in the Section 4 Little League Baseball 10-11-year-old Championship at Pine Bush Little League. The tournament runs through Monday with the final scheduled for 6 p.m. If a second game is needed, it would be played Tuesday, 6 p.m. The Section 4 champion will advance to the state championships, August 6-12, also at Pine Bush Little League. The six-team field includes Warwick (District 17), Stony Point (District 18), Hyde Park (District 19) and Harrison (District 20). Briarcliff plays Hyde Park, 5 p.m., in the first game of a doubleheader Wednesday. Pelham takes on Warwick, 8 p.m. Harrison meets the Briarcliff-Hyde Park winner, Thursday, 8 p.m., preceded by Stony Point facing the Pelham-Warwick winner, 5 p.m.
