OSSINING, N.Y. Ossinings Matt Belitz hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth inning Tuesday to lift the Pride to a 3-2 victory against Harrison.
Belitz was just one-for-four at the plate, but his one RBI was crucial. Ossinings Mike Haag pitched seven innings, struck out nine and gave up just two runs (one earned) on four hits.
Harrison jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning and added another run in the top of the sixth, but Ossining tied the game in the bottom of the sixth on an RBI single by Zack Giusti and a sacrifice fly from Derek Badger.
Giusti pitched the two extra innings in relief and recorded the win for the Pride.
