Riordan Steps Down As Manhattanville Women's Lacrosse Coach

PURCHASE, N.Y. -- Anna Riordan, Manhattanville College’s most successful women’s lacrosse coach, has stepped down from her position.

Manhattanville Athletic Director Keith Levinthal said, in a press release, Riordan stepped down to pursue other opportunities.

Riordan, a Yorktown High School graduate, was the women’s coach for five years, guiding the program to 35 wins. The program achieved its two highest win totals -- 11 in 2009 and nine in 2008, her first season.

The 2012 season had two memorable highlights under Riordan. Casandra Honovich, a Walter Panas graduate, became the first women’s lacrosse player to reach 100 career goals in her sophomore year. The lady Valiants also advanced to the Freedom Conference semifinals.
