PURCHASE, N.Y. -- The thunderstorms that rolled through Westchester County Thursday night forced lacrosse officials to reschedule the finals and semifanals in the Sound Shore Summer League high school and adult divisions
The Westchester high school final between top-seeded Mamaroneck and second-seeded Wappingers will resume 6 p.m. Friday. Wappingers is leading 2-0 in the first half. The winner of this game will play the Rockland champion for the high school title on Aug. 6.In the Master's division, Gargoyle will play Full Moon in a semifinal at 7 p.m. The winner will meet undefeated Colt 35's for the title, also on Aug. 6.
The Division I final will now be played at 8 p.m., with two-time defending champion Prime Time looking for a three-peat when it plays Ernies Lacrosse of Darien, Conn. The Boozin Birdies and Samu-Rye will play in the Division III title game at 10 p.m.
The Division II final will also be played, Aug. 6 between Husked Corn and the winner of Stock Doctor-Moonlight Lacrosse.
