“Keep it easy and simple,” said Fred Schneer, who will be watching the game at home in Mamaroneck. “If the Giants were in it, then I’d have a big spread and everything else.”
He was not upset that the Giants were not defending their crown because “you can’t have it every year,” he said.
“My son’s a 49ers fan, but I’ll be honest with you, I really don’t care – I’m hoping for a good game,” said Schneer, who works in Harrison.
Harrison residents have many bars to choose from to watch Super Bowl XLVII, including The Craftsman Ale House, Uncle Henry’s Bar and Grill, Off the Grid Bar and Grill, and Trinity Grill and Bar. However, some might host a party at their house or have to work during the game.
Tighe Rubinstein, the Harrison DeCicco’s manager, said he would be working — and it does not bother him because his favorite team, the Giants, is not in it.
“I have no preference,” he said when asked who he would like to see win. “If it was a New York team, then I would have a preference.” Rubinstein said he is hoping for a close, competitive game.
