WNBA Players Gave Out Free County Center Tickets At Farmer's Market

There was a free ticket giveaway on Wednesday, May 23, during the weekly Farmer's Market on Court Street in White Plains.

New York Liberty WNBA players were out at their training facility in Tarrytown in 2015 to help young women. Their Westchester season debut is on Friday, May 25 at the County Center.

The downtown Farmer's Market runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and is promoting the New York Liberty’s 2018 home opener at their new home – the Westchester County Center -- this Friday, May 25 at 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday's event features White Plains Mayor Tom Roach, Liberty and WNBA legends Teresa Weatherspoon and Swin Cash and Liberty Chief Operating Officer Keia Clarke.

Maddie the Mascot will also be at the Farmer's Market for a special meet/greet and photos with pro basketball fans.

Attendees were able to score free Liberty promotional items and participate in a trivia contest for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the Liberty’s Friday home opener against the defending WNBA champion Minnesota Lynx team.

New York Liberty fans are invited to a pre-game Fanfest on Friday, starting at 5:30 p.m. in front of the County Center.
