When it comes to putting down roots, this Massachusetts locale is among the best in the nation, according to a new ranking.
The Norfolk County town of Brookline came in at No. 11 on Niche’s 2024 “Best Places to Live in America” ranking. It also took the No. 1 spot on the site’s “Best Places to Live in Massachusetts” list.

Niche.com has released its annual rankings of the best places to live in America and several Pennsylvania towns made the list.
The website ranked thousands of towns across the US based on data from the US Census, FBI, BLS, CDC, and resident ratings, it said.
Chesterbrook, a Philadelphia suburb, was crowned the overall best in the US.

2021 Dutchess Budget Proposal Reduces Spending With No Layoffs Or Tax Increase
Dutchess County's proposed 2021 budget reduced spending by 3.6 percent, or $18.6 million, with no employee layoffs or tax increases, according to County Executive Marc Molinaro.
