Person Struck, Killed By Metro-North New Haven Line Train A 50-year-old man was struck and killed by a Metro-North train Thursday night near Darien. According to Metro-North officials, the incident took place around 7:35 p.m. Dec. 13 at Noroton Heights. The train had departed Grand Central at 6:49 p.m. headed for New Haven. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identification is pending notification of next of kin. MTA Police are investigating. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

More Than Half Of NYers Personally Touched By Opioid Abuse, Poll Finds Nearly one of every four New Yorkers personally know of someone, a family member, friend or acquaintance that has died due to an opioid overdose, according to a new Siena College poll.
