Downed Trees, Wires Shut Down Routes 121, 137, 116 In Northern Westchester

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - The strong storm that moved through the area Sunday into early Monday continues to affect roadways and commuters in Northern Westchester and Putnam as gusty winds continue to bring down trees and wires in the area.

The New York State Department of Transportation reported numerous road closures on Monday morning following the storm that struck the East Coast on Sunday. Downed wires and power outages in the area also led to the closure of the Katonah-Lewisboro School District, while Bedford schools were on a two-hour delay.

Closures as of 11:30 a.m. include:

  • Route 137 between Route 124 and Route 172 in Pound Ridge
  • Route 121 between Route 138 and Todd Road in Lewisboro
  • Route 116 between Grant Road and Peach Lake Road in North Salem

All of the closures are expected to be resolved before 3 p.m. on Monday.

A wind advisory remains in effect until 2 p.m. Monday.
