Route 119 Lane Closures Under Way

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - Motorists planning to travel on Route 119 in Westchester this week can expect delays as crews complete maintenance activity in the area.

Work began Tuesday and extends through Thursday, June 29, motorists can expect delays as there are various single lane closures on both sides of the roadway scheduled between Taxter Road and Route 124 (Aqueduct Road / Old Kensico Road).

Single lane closures on the eastbound lanes are expected between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. Closures westbound can be expected between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. during the three-day stretch on the westbound lanes.

The New York State Department of Transportation has asked drivers to use caution while traveling through the work zone and to pay particular attention to traffic control devices, including signals and flaggers.
