I watched CH. 12 news yesterday and saw this smug lowlife walking w a woman holding his hand. I am amazed at how desperate some people are. He is beyond the beyonds disgusting and yet there is this woman walking with him in support. As a parent of three, I pray this case will lead to even more arrests than the ones reported. Glad that this is being taken so seriously and I hope they lock him up and throw away the key. View Comment
Why would someone cycle around the Tarrytown Lakes? So windy and narrow, and barely enough room for the cars and trucks. I get that cycler's love their sport but some common sense is VITAL here! View Comment
Republicans just successfully filibustered a bill to raise the minimum wage to $10.10.The minimum wage in America is pretty damn low. How about getting it to a vote, guys? Cowardly filibuster for all of the wrong reasons. Sad- View Comment
Astorino is a HUGE disappointment. Rep. or Dem. a County Executive must be IN THE COUNTY he is over seeing. Astorino very sadly has his sights and attention elsewhere. The GOP is prob breathing down his throat.
Wonderful! So good to see a local young woman involved! Congrats!
Our system needs more strong young women to get involved and represent the other women, many who are so marginalized by the mainly male presence in government.
I was interested in this until I got to the part where Astorino refers to the Common Core as "Coumo's Common Core". That is not the title of the program, and his transparency comes shining right through. What a stupid move. He should have at the very least tried to make it appear as if this is about his kids and not his push to become the next NY Governor. Sad really. View Comment
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY IT IS THAT THIS WOMAN WAS RELEASED FROM PRISON AFTER SERVING UNDER THREE YEARS?? WHAT KIND OF MIXED MESSAGES IS THE DA SENDING OUT???
Mother in fatal drunken driving crash released
(11/23/09) YORKTOWN - A Yorktown mother who pleaded guilty in a drunken-driving crash that killed her daughter's 16-year-old friend has been released from jail.
Ann Marie Ciarcia could have faced up to 15 years in prison, but instead served almost three years as part of a plea deal.
Authorities say Ciarcia was driving home drunk from a club with her teenage daughter and her daughter's friend, Emily Cornish, when she jumped onto the Saw Mill River Parkway going against traffic and hit a car. Cornish was killed in the collision. View Comment
