People are lazy. They only come out to vote when it directly affects them. They start all these BS programs that don't work because some "expert" said to do it. The state has unfunded mandates and the school boards everywhere just accept it. It has to stop. Hopefully the voters will come out and say no again, otherwise they are morons. There is no “On-going battle” between these two companies. GameOn 365, a paper company at that, has offered 1.7 million dollars with the Town carrying the mortgage for 13 years without any, no, none, zip collateral if and when they go out of business. The Town cannot, should not and ought not be a landlord, whether legal or not. But if they were, they should make sure they can recoup our money if GO365 goes bellie-up. House of Sports on the other hand, just spent $20 million in cash to build their facility which is operational, profitable and the envy of GO365. Why Feiner and his questionable Board would meet secretly and cut another back room deal is terrible. GO365 doesn't have any money, so suing anybody isn't going to happen. As a Republican I am endorsing Mr Bernstein, whom I do not know but hope to. I had asked Tim Hays, the RINO Greenburgh Chair who he planned to nominate against Feiner. Not in so many words he said no one! I asked him about Tom Bock and he ignored my question. Westchester Republican Chair Doug Colety says they’ve given up on Greenburgh because its 4 to 1 democrats and they want to spend their time and money where they have a chance to win. Yeah, good luck with that. This is why the Republicans are never going to win. They’ve either given up or are led by losers. Shame on them! Not necessarily true. When they have an accident and are hurt, it's the ambulance, fire, and police personal that must deal with it. People wearing sea tbelts are typically injured less than those not and are easier to extricate. I recall not being able to get a victim out from under the brake and gas pedals (!) and out from underneath the dash board of a big old American car years ago. The majority of ems and fire personnel are volunteers who use their valuable time to help these people. It puts them more at risk as they must spend more time addressing the victims. They are also the ones who must notify the families if there are any when they are killed or pureed. Its not like seat belts are a new thing. There is no viable excuse not to wear one. View Comment

I voted no not because I'm against it but because the most critical issue was left out of this story again. All of this construction and related paving will increase the impervious space, forcing water runoff into the already overburdened Saw Mill River, the 9A corridor and all the homes and businesses in that area. I'm against this additional overdevelopment until there is really a water management system that will send the water directly to Boulder Ridge or the Atlantic and spare Elmsford, Ardsley and the like from flooding. It doesn't matter how much revenue you generate if you are hurting existing residents. View Comment

Bush consolidated many departments, formed the Department of Homeland Security and mandated inter-agency sharing of information and resources - all of which our current president inherited. His comment that its needed and he doesn't care what it costs is easy because he has the money. We don't. He could pay for it and put his money where his big mouth is. Or, he could mind his own business and let the neighborhoods decide what they want and don't want. All these politicians are deciding our future for us and ignoring the people who live here. Since the amount WESTCHESTER is to receive is $2.7 million, and the county suffered $42 million in damage, HOW IS THE MONEY GOING TO BE USED and FOR WHOM? Once again the writing skills of the author of these articles are called into question. When the design was posed to the public, and votes given, why wasn't the additional cost mentioned then? Had the public been told there would be an additional cost, which makes little sense btw, they may have voted differently. And, is it purely aesthetics or is there a functional preference for one over the other? For instance, would rain, water, snow increase the change of rotting or metal fatigue on the flat top versus the angled one? Is this too basic a question for your stenographer to ask?
