The new pharmacy branch will be a medicine-only store to serve the office park's growing medical tenants along with other doctors' offices along the I-287 corridor, according to Simone Development and Fareri Associates.
Though this is the first store in Westchester County, ABC Drugs officials say they are growing in New York and will soon be expanding into Connecticut.
“ABC Drugs is proud to be opening this new location and working with the high quality doctors and other medical professionals at Purchase Professional Park and in the surrounding area,” said ABC Drugs President Rajan Kohli.
Purchase Professional Park owners went out looking for a pharmacy to help medical professionals meet the needs of their patients. ABC Drugs is leasing a 805-square-foot space in the park, 3010 Westchester Ave., in Purchase.
The pharmacy will focus only on prescription drugs and other medicines. Because of the narrow focus of the store, more attention can be paid to patients' needs, officials said. For example, the store offers pre-packaged and labeled medicines for people who have to take more than a few drugs a day, officials said.
"They are dedicated to efficiency and affordability by which they carry-out prescription services, pharmacist consultations and medication therapy management solutions,” said Patricia Simone, president of Simone Management Group, which manages the professional park.
Officials said ABC Drugs offers a holistic approach to patients medical needs.
