HARRISON, N.Y. Westchester County Police are investigating the discovery of over 30 dead dogs and cats and a South American lizard that were found in garbage bags on the Westchester Avenue on-ramp of the Hutchinson River Parkway at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, April 5.
According to a published report, the bags of the dead animals were found mostly within 5 feet of the roadway. Dogs were bagged individually but some cats were thrown in the same bag.
