Metro-North Probes Missing Funds From Alcohol Sales At Grand Central

Alcohol and beer will not be sold on platforms at Grand Central Terminal amid a "missing funds" investigation by Metro-North, according to multiple reports.

Money - amounts not specified - reportedly was discovered missing from the beverage sales off of bar carts at platform entrances, lohud said, citing officials.

Eighteen commissary carts and two commissary counters were closed as of Dec. 7, the report said.

Three staff members of Metro-North are "out of service" pending the investigation, said the report.
