HARRISON, N.Y. – Catherine (Saccone) Compitello, a West Harrison resident, died Wednesday, May 20. She was 99.
Compitello was born Feb. 20, 1916 in White Plains. She owned and operated the Lake Farms Market with her husband, Joseph. She also helped found the St. Anthony's Italian Feast.
She was predeceased by her husband.
She is survived by her children, Catherine of West Harrison, Camille of New Fairfield, Conn., Gloria of Southbury, Conn., Rosanne of Brookfield, Conn., Joseph of Yardley, Pa., Peter of White Plains and Barbara of Santa Monica, Calif., her siblings, Renald, Marcia and Delores, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be on Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. at McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church.
Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
